A LEADER IN THE FIELD

Ntukuma, The Storytelling Foundation of Jamaica, is the premier storytelling organisation in the English-speaking Caribbean. It focuses on the application of the oral traditional to personal growth, education, social cohesion, community and national development and enhancing the spirit of Caribbean one-ness.

INTERNATIONALLY CONNECTED

It is connected to and has impacted programmes of international storytelling organisations in The Caribbean, Europe, Africa and North America.

Ntukuma established The International Ananse Movement, I AM, with members in Europe, Africa and the Caribbean, through which it coordinates and guides projects utililising the oral tradition as a resource for addressing social issues.

MAJOR STORYTELLING FESTIVAL

Its flagship project, the annual storytelling conference and festival, Ananse SoundSplash, has been attracting highly acclaimed international storytellers and scholars since its inception in 1998.
