GUIDELINES FOR STORYTELLING CLUBS IN
SCHOOLS, LIBRARIES AND COMMUNITIES

A storytelling club is an exciting adventure that facilitates personal and professional growth

On a personal level you experience a tremendous leap in your confidence, improvement in your communication skills and a huge boost in your creativity. Great storytelling improves your ability to pitch ideas, teach, or lead teams.

Your club will help to build healthy Community Connections. It creates a sense of belonging, helps identity opportunities for collaboration and becomes a forum where tradition means people supporting people to create the society they envision.

Your club can help connect you with writers, performers, educators, and other communities and their leaders.

Training

Upon establishment, the leaders of the clubs in each parish – Librarian, student leaders – will attend one training workshop designed to ensure that there is a common understanding of the purpose and ethos which guide their operations. Thereafter there will be two training/review sessions each year.

As soon as you have established your parish clubs, please send the information to the Parish Librarian for onward transmission to Ntukuma.
