All About Ananse SoundSplash

MEET ANANSE

Ananse is the quintessential, description-defying wisdom carrier from West African who occupies Caribbean folklore. He is celebrated for his wit, humor, and resilience. Never hampered by his small size, Ananse challenges gods and outsmarts animals, and humans alike, showing that brains can triumph over brawn.  Resourceful  yet vulnerable, Ananse teaches us to be strong, to tek kin teet kibba heart-bun, to find courage in our own humanity and pass on our wisdom from generation to generation.
All the stories we tell belong to Ananse, the first global citizen, who bequeaths us his name for the festival.
ANANSE SOUNDSPLASH is a must-have experience of the magic of Jamaica’s Heritage in a unique brand of Storytelling!
